Dear Prayer Partner,

The following notes are from our children.  Thank you for remembering to pray for our kids.  They are a very important part of our family AND ministry!

Jonathan

Hi, I am soo big now.  I had a big cake that had fire on top of it.  I couldn’t touch it though cuz it was hot.  Hot…that’s one of my new words, too.  I say lots of things.  My nickname is “Lorita” because I never stop talking.  I think it’s fun to make all these new noises.  If I try really hard I get so loud I make my mama jump.  That’s funny to see especially when we are in town eating at a restaurant.   I’m getting really big.  I have 8 pearly whites and like many more trying to come in.  They hurt me so, too.  I got my first really big boo-boo Sunday in the nursery.  I fell face forward, hit the bench and landed on the concrete.  I have a big bump between my eyes.   My mama said we MUST get tables in the nursery so that doesn’t happen to me or anyone else again.  I’m running around now and love to stay outside.  I come most of the time when my daddy calls me the first time.  I’m really trying to work on that.  I can’t wait to meet you one day soon.  Love,  Mandie

Hi, my name is Justin.  My mom just reminded me that I would tell you what age I was going to turn.  I turned NINE years old just the other day.  “Old”, you say.  Not on your life!!  It’s kinda different being nine.  I get to do more privileges.  And in one more year I will be out of my sister’s Sunday School class.  I am very not happy about that.  Jakey says that in the other class they don’t do games.  This Saturday I will be having an activity with my Sunday School class.  Our class is everyone with 7 to 9 years.  On my birthday I got 2 adorable bunnies.  Their names are Cinnamon and Sugar.  One is a boy and the other is a girl.  Sarah got a bunny on the occasion of her birthday.  So, we have 3 adorable bunnies.  His name is Midnight and he is black as dark itself.  In the dark, when Midnight is out, I cannot see him.  Only can I see the sprouting white going through the bushes.  “Scary”, you say.  Kinda not.  It’s not that easy to trap him for the night.  I would like you to come visit me sometime.  I live in Tacna, Peru.  If you come, I could take you to Parque de la Familia.  You better go check your coffee pot.  See if it’s full and good-bye for now.
 Bye,
Justin

Greetings from South America,

Jacob Earnhart, typing…actually my mom is and I am just talking!  How are your churches?  Our church just got a new missionary family that goes by the name of Brock.  Keith Brock that is.  Their eldest daughter is helping me with a book that I am making.  It is about my beanies that are monkeys.  Maybe in my next letter I will mail the book if I have it finished.  Kelsie and I spent yesterday after church talking about ideas.  By the way, she is ten, her sister is 8 and Karis is 6.  Last but not least is little Keith and he will be turning 4.  My dad went to Iquitos to help Uncle Brock get his luggage.   My dad got us a baby monkey for my brother and sister’s birthdays.  (Their birthdays are 3 days apart.)  But sadly, two weeks ago, on the 4th of September, Sasha died.  We wept bitter tears for our beloved furry-tailed friend.  My dad buried her below the fig tree she one day would have loved to climb.  But with departures comes new joy.  My dad said he would buy us a new one.  He gave us hope in our time of sadness.  Amen.  Well, now Justin wants to tell you about our other pets.  Well, now it’s time to say Adios.   Goodbye, Aloha and hasta luego along with all the other fancy good-byes.  Jakey

Hello all you sweet people in America who are enjoying your Taco Bell tacos,

That’s one of my favorite restaurants…if you didn’t know!  I sure do miss America a lot.  Being out of America it is hard for us not see our cousins, our family and visiting our supporting churches.  I like to be on the road and see the pastors and make new friends.  Today was very exciting for me.  I got up at nine something…it was our day off.  I had a very important appointment.  I couldn’t wait to get up.  I read my Bible, ate breakfast and got my stuff all ready for the day.  Then I got ready for my big appointment.  You’ll never guess who it was!!!  It was a manicurist.  She came to my own house to do a manicure and a pedicure.  It was so much fun.  My sister got to do it, too.  My mom made us the guinea pigs…she said she’d would wait to see how ours came out!!  It cost $1.50 to do my hands and $3.50 to do my feet.  All in the comfort of my own backyard and patio!!!  Enough about me…how are you guys?  How is your church doing?  I hope it is growing really big.  I hope that we will be able to visit your church in 2007.  We will see each of you guys again and it will be a wonderful time.  Well, I guess it’s time for me to run.  I’m going to make some nice hot coco and relax with my freshly painted toes flying in the air.  Come see me sometime and you can get your nails done too!!!  Oh, one more thing, my new teacher, Miss Kathy, is coming on Wednesday.  I am so excited.  We will have a new teacher.  What I have heard from my mom, she is a great girl, just like Katrina.  If you’re looking for a good teacher call Katrina.  God bless.
Love,
Abbey Earnhart

Greetings from Peru, South America,

Two months and two days…that is how much longer it will take before I am 14.  The word ‘excitement’ cannot describe how I feel!  I have been waiting to be 14 for 14 years!  You may be surprised at my math skills but do not be surprised that I am only in 8th grade!  Right now, again, I am going through another growing spurt.  I am now at the height of 5’11”.  My mom says I am as skinny as a beanstalk.  The only problem with growing here and THE only problem growing is that I cannot buy clothes or shoes that fit me.  Not only have I been going through a growth spurt, but so has our church.  Yesterday in Sunday School we had 75 and in the evening service we went over 100 again.  I would like you to pray for my friend, Rodrigo, and his family.  There family is going through a hard time because their youngest son, Danielito, is very sick.  He could pass away at any day now.  We went to see him today and it was very, very sad the condition he was in.  Rodrigo is saved but his parents are still very Catholic.  Please pray for Iris and Jesus.  Again, I thank you for your prayers and support.  I ask you to pray for our family also.  Lord willing, we will be able to visit you in the next year.  We look forward to seeing you.

Your MK in Peru, South America,

Andrew David Earnhart

Hey everybody,

Springtime is here!  I am so happy with the change in weather.  It’s warmer now and we are able to eat lunch outside and sit out on the patio and read.  The Lord is really blessing the church.  It’s incredible to see how many new people are coming to the church.  We’ve just started a new Sunday School contest that ends the last week of October.  Last Sunday, we had over 80 in our Sunday Morning service.  That was a major event since most people don’t come out for Sunday Morning.  I am also working in our Wednesday night children’s club which is “El Ejercito de Dios”.  We consistently run over 30 and the children show great interest in learning about the Lord which is a true answer to prayer.  In the children’s club we teach a lesson and prepare a song that we present to the church each month.  This month’s song will include the verse being sung but also using sign language.  The kids are really enjoying this and it is great fun for me to teach them.  I would appreciate it if you would join me in prayer as I pray that the Lord would provide a keyboard for our children’s choir.   Right now we can get a keyboard for about $400.  Please pray that the Lord provides for that need.  One more item you could add to your prayer list is my friend, Naishma.  I’ve asked prayer for her before and as of yet she has not taken her decision for Christ.  Lately she has been going through a very tough time and I am praying that through these trials she will turn to the Lord.  I turned fifteen last week…along with the birthday came fun gifts and surprises which include a surprise party at church.   I praise the Lord for all He is doing through our family and church.  I ask that you continue to pray for my own spiritual growth and for my family.  May God bless you in your ministry there.  Sincerely, Sarah Beth
