We send our greetings once again from
Peru, South America. We are so thankful to have so many
faithful prayer partners that lift us up to the throne of
Grace. Your prayers are greatly needed as we are in a
tremendous battle of spiritual life or death.
Both Becky and I have been counseling
several different couples in our church that are passing
through some real trials. We praise the Lord for some great
victories in the past couple of weeks, but we still have a
LONG way to go! Pray for Magali and Denis, Richard and
Roxana, Nestor and Roxana and Hernan and Justina. If anyone
has material or ideas on a “Restoration Retreat” I would
love to hear your ideas.
We praise the Lord for the steady
spiritual growth we have seen. We average around 18 on
Saturday visitation and many are discipling new converts as
well. God has blessed our average attendance with over 90
both Sunday AM and Wednesday night. Last Sunday night we
had 123! Our people are faithfully inviting their friends
and family.
In two weeks we are having another
baptism. We probably have over 35 people that need to be
baptized. At least 4 have said they understand and are
ready. This is a huge step of faith for a former Catholic,
so please pray that many more will obey Christ in believer’s
baptism.
We are desperately asking God for a new
property. We simply cannot fit more in our auditorium. We
have made new benches twice this year, but there is no more
room for more benches. This week I am praying that the
landlord of a property we have seen will come down in
price. We don’t have funds to purchase yet, but we know God
will provide!!! With the vision that God has given us for
Tacna, we will need at least 3 or more acres.
We are thankful that we have many needs
for the ministry here in Peru- because that makes us rely on
God to provide. Humanly speaking it is hard to wait, but
God’s way is always best! Please make these needs a matter
of pray that we might rejoice together when God meets those
needs! 1) Minibus for bus routes, visitation and trips, 2).
Hymnbooks (100 @ $10 ea.) 3) Bibles, 4) Gospel tracts, 5)
boy’s bathroom 6) Church Kitchen. For the family we need to
reorder home schooling curriculum.
We are gradually filling up our schedule
for our furlough in 2007. We still have lots of openings in
June, July and August for California as well as April and
May for the East coast. Pray that God gives us the meetings
He wants us to have!
On a family note… our kids are doing
great and continue to be a tremendous help in the ministry.
Sunday, Abbey started to play her violin for the
congregational singing. Sarah is doing INCREDIBLE in her
children’s choir, she is averaging over 30 on Wed. nights!
We are getting ready to record a new music CD, so Becky is
working hard with the kids. Amanda is growing like a weed!
Honestly, I am SUPER blessed as a husband and father!!! I
thank God for my family!
We would love to hear from you and the
work you faithfully accomplish. We pray for you all
regularly and appreciate and love each one of you. My email
service has been acting up, so if you get this email just
reply with “got it” or something simple so I know that you
are receiving our emails!
